Job candidates for all positions must offer proof of completion of the Johns Hopkins University COVID-19 Contact Tracing course offered through Coursera. This course is free and takes approximately six hours to complete. Additional training is provided.

Sales Representative

Job Description: Do something that makes a difference. Sell something you believe in. Contact tracing: it’s a known method for controlling the spread of disease, but not everyone knows how it works or who provides it.
We need sales people to raise awareness and convince prospects that Rapid-Trace offers the best solution.
This position involves researching and contacting college/university administrators and public health officials with the goal of promoting Rapid-Trace and securing new accounts.
Employees in this position will hone skills useful in future careers, such as problem-solving, collaborative teamwork, and communication.
Work will be done remotely and candidates can be based anywhere in the United States.
Responsibilities:
Contacts academic administrators and public health officials via phone and email
Describes what Rapid-Trace offers and the qualities that distinguish Rapid-Trace from other contact tracing companies
Hosts virtual presentations with other team members and prospects
Keeps records of sales communication
Communicates regularly with manager to discuss ongoing sales activities and inform them of pertinent issues
Is professional when dealing with prospects, colleagues, and clients.
Qualifications:
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited university
Certificate demonstrating completion of the Johns Hopkins University COVID-19 Contact Tracing course
Virtual presentation skills
Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs

Case Investigator
$26/hour

Job Description: Case investigators lead and supervise a seven-person contact tracing team, make initial contact with COVID-19 patients, and manage the oversight of contact tracing activities resulting from communication with patients. Case investigators bring investigative knowledge and resources to the team, assign tasks to team members, and assist with investigative analysis. Case investigators will work remotely.
Responsibilities of case investigator:
Manages a remote seven-person contact tracing team
Makes initial contact with COVID-19 patients to collect relevant information, such as recent locations and people who they have interacted with
Ensures information is gathered in a timely and accurate manner
Ensures HIPAA guidelines are followed and sensitive information is protected
Works with medical resource coordinators to refer cases to local resources as needed
Ensures policies and procedures for investigations, including interview guides and call scripts, are maintained in a uniform and consistent manner
Qualifications:
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited university
Certificate demonstrating completion of the Johns Hopkins University COVID-19 Contact Tracing course
Investigation-related work experience, such as government investigator (health care experience a plus)
Strong communication and empathetic skills
Ability to work independently
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows
Proficiency in languages other than English, especially Spanish and Creole, a plus

Contact Tracer
$17 - $20/hour

Job Description: Contact tracers call individuals who have been identified as having had recent contact with COVID-19 patients. Contact tracers advise contacts to self-isolate and provide resources to assist in doing so. Contact tracers follow a script to complete case interviews and collect information. In communication with patients and contacts, contact tracers use a respectful approach that conveys empathy and builds trust. Contact tracers will work remotely; work hours can vary and may include weekend and evening hours.
Responsibilities of contact tracer:
Conducts telephone calls with persons diagnosed with COVID-19 to complete case interviews, elicit and trace contacts exposed to COVID-19
Provides follow-up instructions to cases and contacts related to isolation/quarantine and symptom monitoring and assesses the need for medical care and supportive services for the individual and/or household or close contacts
Provides patients and contacts with information about isolation and quarantine procedures, and if appropriate, refers them for testing
Provides information pertaining to other social and/or health resources
Collects and accurately records information obtained from the case interview and contact gathering into a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) data base
Follows approved scripts and protocol
Adheres to all HIPAA and PHI privacy laws, maintains strict confidentiality of patient information and protects individuals’ privacy
Escalates cases to case investigator, as appropriate
Recognizes, documents and alerts the case investigator of trends in customer calls
Maintains daily communication with case investigator Interacts with patients and contacts with respect, understanding, and empathy
Qualifications:
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited university and one year of full-time satisfactory experience performing one or more of the following: interviewing, investigations, sales or making referrals
Certificate demonstrating completion of the Johns Hopkins University COVID-19 Contact Tracing course
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn specialized digital applications used in contact tracer mission
Professional, positive attitude and work ethic
Strong communication skills
Empathy and ability to interact professionally with people from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
Ability to work independently and remotely
Proficiency in languages other than English, especially Spanish and Creole, a plus
