Academic Approach

Students are back on campus. When an outbreak occurs, swift contact tracing is the key to containing the spread of the virus. But staff at student affairs or health services are often so overwhelmed with cases that they’re unable to keep up with the investigations, data entry, and communication that effective contact tracing requires.

To augment the contact tracing efforts, colleges across the country are partnering with Rapid-Trace.

Rapid-Trace ensures an immediate response to an outbreak -- seven days a week and holidays. Our team of investigators and contact tracers do the investigations and manage the data that’s essential to identify, document, and communicate with students, faculty, and staff who may have been exposed to an infectious person. We guide positive individuals and their contacts to appropriate health resources and support them in isolating or quarantining.

Our contact tracers have all completed the Johns Hopkins contact tracing course and are trained on adherence to CDC guidelines, HIPAA rules, cybersecurity, and data management. Rapid-Trace observes strict protocol regarding confidentiality and data security and complies with your academic guidelines and health services procedures. Many of our contact tracers have been with us since the start of the pandemic, so they’re well-versed in every aspect of contact tracing on a college campus.

This enhanced level of contact tracing reassures campus members of a safe on-campus teaching and learning experience. Study and work are more productive. Health services and student affairs staff can get back to doing what they do best.
